How nice to have had some lovely weather at last, it makes us all feel in a better mood and we start to realise all the summer weddings are just around the corner. It has been a real contrast this year with some brides having very last minute weddings, to a bride this week who purchased her dress for November 2013. We also had a customer who couldn’t decide between two outfits in Jitters so she bought both and actually left the shop wearing one of them!
We are busy planning our collections for next year and having already booked our flights for Barcelona to see the flagship Pronovias collection, we are then heading into the city to Jenny Packham’s fabulous store and we will also be visiting the Tower of London again to view Suzanne Neville’s new collection. I can’t wait, they are definitely the top designers in the UK today and it is a pleasure to work with their collections. The girls in the workroom appreciate the amazing way these dresses are designed and constructed, although not always when they are having to take them to pieces when a bride has lost weight!
Our Mother of the bride collections have been outstanding this season with a customer this week travelling from the Isle of Wight on a ferry and then driving from Southampton. The Ian Stuart mother of the bride collection has been fantastic, we only have a few pieces left and its only April!
Our latest member of the team Allison, was bought chocolates this week as a thank you from a happy customer, not bad going for your first two weeks in the job!
Culver Square are running a competition this weekend to see who can guess which one of our six wedding dresses will be the closest to Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, I will then be tasked with judging the winning dress. Watch this space to find out who the lucky winner will be.
