London Fashion Week

Well, what a week it’s been!

A huge thank you to my dear friend Karen Taft (MD of Benjamin Roberts and Enzoani), for inviting me as a VIP guest to a LFW (London Fashion Week) fashion show and party at a swanky night club in the west end. I really am getting too old for wearing 6” heels!

Who would’ve believed that I would be chatting to Camilla Dallerup and Brian Fortuna from Strictly! Camilla looked really lovely in a Love collection cocktail dress, and it turned out that the best friend she was with, Lisa, had been to our shop and her sister had bought her wedding dress from us!

The male models were A-Mazing! They were modelling suits by Terrace Trout and they were so beautifully cut and the fit was exquisite, Alex Reid was there as I think he wears their label, so were Neil Morrissey and Louisa Litton. Any more names I can drop?

I didn’t feel like I’d had that much champagne until I woke up the next morning! Also a big thank you goes to Laura and Michael at Bellissima who were wonderful company and drove us all the way home.

All of this was a big distraction during a very busy half term week; I did make up for taking the day off by opening on Sunday and booking in some fittings for our brides. The week just got better and better and a lovely couple Pat and Colin came in to choose a wedding dress for her, unusual to have the groom present but he was lovely and very caring with her. She looked absolutely stunning and it really made my day when he told me that after leaving the shop the first time she had tried the dress on, she had told him that when she looked in the mirror she couldn’t believe it was her. So, all in all, its been an amazing week!
