It's been a very busy few weeks of high and lows. Having just booked our flights for Barcelona to see the new 2012 Pronovias collections, to visiting London for the Pure exhibition to see the latest MOB (mother of the bride) collections for Autumn/Winter. The new Linea Raffaelli and Ian Stuart collections are particularly gorgeous. Lots of lovely colours and fabrics, not too dark and heavy, they really have tried to keep it light and soft which is great, I can remember a time when Winter collections were so dark and dull! After a glass of champagne on the Ian Stuart stand it was time to wind our weary way home.
One of the catwalk fashion shows at the Pure Spirit showI was certainly brought down to earth when I received a recorded letter, not something that happens very often, which I opened with an amount of trepidation. My heart sank when I saw it was a letter from a father of the bride with a copy of the death certificate of his daughter who has a dress on order with us. It is a reminder to me how lucky we all are to be happy and healthy and that we should try to remember what is important in life.
We are looking forward to going to Harrogate next month where we will be looking at the new bridal collections and it will be interesting to see if the designers have more styles with shoulder straps and sleeves as we are sure Kate Middleton will have some kind of sleeves. We are also in the finals for the Best Web Site award, so keep your fingers for us!
